Air conditioning in this weather?!
Hard to imagine right now with below freezing temperatures and a thick blanket of snow, but by next August we will be very grateful for the large HVAC units being installed this week on the roof of the New Ridgefield Library. If you look closely in between the snow flakes you can see the units being put into place. Work is also underway on a wall designed to screen this utilitarian equipment from casual view.

Hi Mary, how goes the project timeline? Still on track for Spring 2014 opening? Doesn't seem possible that the time has come and nearly gone already. When do you think you will announce when the grand opening will be?
Work is progressing nicely and we are still targeting a Spring 2014 opening. We will likely start with a "soft" opening as we get ourselves accustomed to the new situation and systems, to be followed by a Grand Opening Weekend Celebration a few weeks later. We are still waiting for a few construction deadlines to be confirmed before we can be more specific, but it is coming soon!
